Brett Bossenberry has music in his soul.
Brett studied classical guitar under Wilfrid Laurier’s Tibor Puskas, and harmony under pianist Paul Stouffer. His passion is the electric guitar and he has played with such bands as Yuma, Airkraft, The Distance, Outrider, Canadian Hall of Famer Larry Mercey (Mercey Brothers), Robyn Pauhl, various tribute acts and Radio King. He currently plays with Kitchener’s own “Glider” (formed in 1980 and became one of Ontario’s most popular Top 40 bands) with Grant Cummings, Dave “Fritz” Belbeck and Mike Kipper. He is also a member of party band “Moonshine” with Mark Waechter, Dean Merkle, Jody Moser and Steve Todd and AMC (Amplified Midlife Crisis) a 6 piece band with Ian Cook, Rob Wintonyk, Grant Cummings, Mike Kipper and Juno nominated vocalist, Tara Hart.
Over the years, Brett has had the honour of opening for such notable acts as Tammy Wynette, Paulette Carlson, George Jones, Marty Stuart, Honeymoon Suite, and Trooper. He is accomplished in all genres of music, from classical and jazz to country and rock.
In addition to artistry with the guitar, Brett is a fourth-generation piano tuner and technician. His great-grandfather began tuning pianos back in the turn of the century, and his family has tuned for such well-known artists as Liberace, Paul Anka, and Dionne Warwick and the James Last Orchestra.
Today, Brett draws on his family’s rich musical heritage as he offers complete piano tuning and repair services in Kitchener-Waterloo and surrounding areas.
